Customer Review – Scout-11 for Camping & Remote Work

Ever wonder what real users of our campers and hybrids think of the option they chose? We decided it was time to let our community help you decide which camper or hybrid is right for you.

Craig is a passionate camper and proud owner of a Stoney Creek Scout-11, and kindly took the time to share his thoughts on this rugged off-road camper.

How has your Scout-11 handled this camping?

It’s had no problems whatsoever!

How has your experience been so far with the Scout-11?

We’ve had a very positive experience. We are entirely new to caravans, for us the layout of the 11 works well for us. We like the camp feel of cooking, eating and washing up outdoors.

My partner needs to work remotely, and the indoor seating area works well as a mini office. That said we also love the luxury of both blue tooth sound system, TV and reverse cycle air-con when required. The layout does not feel cramped, and the top bunk works well for storage; and of course, the indoor hot and cold shower and flushing toilet was a must-have!

We have a 3-year-old granddaughter, and we are keen to take her on a trip to see how we all get on. The 11 is also a cinch to tow. My partner is nervous of towing, so the stipulation was to find the smallest luxury caravan that delivered the goods. The choice of the 11 was therefore a no-brainer.

What modifications (if any) have you made to your Scout-11?

We’ve made no modifications however we chose a few extras at order time such as air-con, grey water tank, DO35 Hitch and fridge/freezer.

What has been the best aspect of your Scout-11?

We’ve loved the flexibility it offers in such a compact size. Plus, it has all the goodies!

Do you have any advice for new or future Scout-11 owners?

We don’t have any advice, but we do want to stress that our dealings with SC Newcastle had been very positive. Requests are always answered promptly, and any warranty issues are resolved. For us, the Scout-11 is versatile and very well-equipped.

Thanks so much for your time today, Craig!
